Timeline not updating

V2.84. Refreshing the timeline is very hit & miss. Often the refresh will just hang and nothing will happen. Kill plume does nothing to resolve this. I have to go to the Application menu, clear the cache & force close plume. I'm also not seeing some tweets I make in the normal timeline, but they do show up in my profile area.

Every update recently has made new problems, Plume is getting to be unreliable & untrustworthy.

    I second that.

    After the last update of Plume, updateing my timeline has become very unstable.

    When I launch Plume after the phone has been turned off, it updates perfectly but at some point it just doesn't work anymore.

    If I delete and reimport my profile it startw working again, but all my personalization disappears.

    I've tried different settings in "Date and time" without success.

    Plume Premium 2.84
    HTC Desire, Android 2.3.7.

    (On another note, it works without problems on my Iconia A500 (Android 3.2))

    I'm having the same problems as RichM. Running Plume Free version 2.84 on a Samsung Infuse.

    Hi,
    Can you tell me if you're using the stream mode or the regular one ?
    Moreover, I would like to see an error log to understand where it comes from.
    You can find informations on how to make it here : http://support.levelupstudio.com/kb/general/collect-some-logs

    Collect these logs when you are unable to refresh the timeline after having refreshed.

    Live stream = never
    Disable stream when screen is of = true

    I don't use the stream setting (v annoying) & am on the limit of phones memory capacity already before downloading a logger app. Didn't mention before, mine is HTC desire 2.3 as well. I note one of the ppl that replied to my post is on same.

    It seems that when you tried to load you tweets, you device weren't connected to a network.

    Hello,

    I have a similar issue with my Sony Tablet S (Android 3.2.1). If I search something with Plume it sometimes updates and then it seem to stop. Clicking on update tells me that there are no updates but there are many on Twitter.

    At the log file attached I had three open columns. 1st Timeline, 2nd saved search for topic "zdf", and 3rd saved search for topic "illner". 2nd column was updating fine but 3rd column was quiet. But there were many updates with this topic as I could find at Twitter.

    I now use Plume 3.01 and had this issue already since I installed Plume some weeks ago. It's too bad because Plume looks nice and works good - apart from this. Configuration is set to Live-Stream-Mode but it's not better if stream is disabled.

    The Sony Tablet S needs some time (about 10-30 seconds) after Wakeup to restart the WiFi connection. Could this irritate Plume?

    I've had this error for quite some time now on my Galaxy Nexus. I just want to second this issue and I'll get back with an error log as soon as I have the time to create one.

    I'm following the topic since I really want to use Plume since it's hands down the best client for Android. Getting really annoyed that it half the time won't update the timeline though.

    Still doing it. I know that it is happening & to current tweets. It is not picking up some of my own tweets, they show in my profile page but not in the timeline.

    @Nicolas: please can you provide an update on when you expect to release a fix for this significant failure of Plume. It is still happening regularly.

    While you're at it, please explain why I still have to prove I'm human,in order to pist a message, even though I am registered here and logged in?

    @rmob42: Have you check and verify your mail when you registered ? It seems that your email account is unverified. That should explain why you have problem posting message on this forum. Hope it helps

    Hi,

    I'm using Plume Premium 3.02 for my Galaxy Ace. Since 2 hours the app isn't able to update the timeline and mentions (my profile and messages are shown correctly). I deleted my cache, killed the app, even restarted my smartphone. But still it won't update my timeline.
    I went to twitter.com --> everythings as usual.

    I'm wondering if I am the only one with this problem, or if this bug is a general problem in this version.

    @jen : Have you check that the Airplane mode is not working ? Check also in your Settings "Update on launch" to verify if your on the "On Launch" option. Hope it helps

    For information, a new version of Plume will be available soon, it should fix different issues about Timeline.

    I am having the same issue, for 1 day Plume is not updating and I have the premium edition.

    @tony: Can you tell me what is your smartphone and if the update is always not working or sometimes (it can depend of your connexion to 3G and/or Wi-Fi). Check always the Airplane mode also.

    turned on as normal this morning.

    Opened Plume it has only updated one of my 3 accounts (approx 20 tweets)
    The others are showing nothing at all for the past 10 hours.

    Alogcat saved immediately after and attached here.

    Please reply with your analysis of the log & what might be causing the
    problem I've been notifying you about since 2011!

    Second log this morning for you. As per previous advice, I cleared the
    cache and restarted Plume.

    Now it shows nothing in the timeline at all apart from the replies to one
    of my accounts (printman1195) it has even lost the tweets that were there
    before clearing the cache.

    Next step uninstall & reinstall YET AGAIN. Completely unacceptable.

    Uninstalled and reinstalled (twice) and it is now working properly. 3rd log
    of the day in case it gives you more info now it's temporarily working
    right again.

    Latest update? Do you mean unistall & reinstall? That wasn't an update. I was already using the latest plume.

    Seems to be but that is not an answer. I've had to do the same before now so I totally expect Plume to keep randomly failing in exactly the same way again as it keeps doing until you find the problem & fix it with an upgrade.

    Didn't take long to fail again. Log attached. Plume will not refresh my
    timeline at all. Several attempts, total failure.
    Seesmic has updated perfectly.

    Last log of the day. In plume there is over an hour gap on my main account
    timeline. I have counted in Seesmic the difference in what the 2 apps are
    showing. I have found the same 2 in Seesmic that Plume is showing as being
    one after the other. Seesmic has picked up 200 tweets between those 2,
