SUGGESTION: bit.ly URL shortening for custom domain
Hi,
When placing my bit.ly and bit.ly API key onto the Plume, the URL does shorten to a bit.ly URL. However, it seems Plum does not recognize the proper bit.ly domain. I have a custom URL attached to my bit.ly account (kuu.do) and it will not shorten to that domain. I also have tried to set bit.ly to use j.mp and Plume ignores that setting too.
I have set the same thing in Seesmic and it works.
Please take a look as it seems to be something going on with the integration with bit.ly

Is it a paid system that you use?

(not talking about plume but Paid version of bit.ly?)
We only support the free system of bit.ly (and other services)

Hi,
I'm using the free version of bit.ly called bit.ly pro. The free pro version allows you to use custom domains.
When you asked about paid version i thought you meant the free or paid version of plume. I bought the paid version thinking it supported custom URLs.

Hi,
The free is the same as the premium, you only got some ads on it.
I will talk about this to the person in charge (bitly pro free)

Hi,
The person in charge said me that it is on the todo list but we haven't enough arms and brains to code it at the moment. We will try to implement it as soon as we can.

With a small adjustment in programming should be solved because in my bit.ly pro account, links shortened by Plume appear correctly with my custom domain. However the link appears in Plume using the bit.ly domain

@all
I´d like to chime in since I´m encountering exactly Denis´ problem.
I recently switched from another OS to Android and really like Plume. Nevertheless I´m missing my personal bitly. Are there any news concerning this issue?
Much appreciated.

I having this same issue with Plume. Even though I have the paid ver. of Plume because I like to support the developers but I'm always hesitant to buy apps cause at some point in time they will not do what you expect and you just may not recognize it when you first download them.

@Trent
Seconded. I kinda regrets paying for the premium key. But I appreciate at least they're being transparent on their development milestone while acknowledging the problem.
Many developers just plainly refuse user idea.
That's said Plume devs got to keep their word, it's been more than one year since they state 'it will be implemented as soon as we can'

Hi,
The developpers had to change their priority since the new Twitter's Guideline. Therefore they stopped to worked on this issue for now but they'll continue on this as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience
