Hello. I have the paid version of Plume running on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus and notifications for mentions and direct messages are not working even though they are both enabled in the settings for the app.

I am running Android 4.0.4 running the latest version of Plume for Android 2.89. I have tried both clearing cache and uninstalling the app and rebooting the phone as suggested in some of the threads I've read on these forums, but the problem still persists.

    Hi,
I would like to see an error log to understand where it comes from.
You can find informations on how to make it here : http://support.levelupstudio.com/kb/general/collect-some-logs

Since this isn't specifically an error dialog that I am experiencing, once I start the logging, what should I do to demonstrate what I am seeing? The problem is, I don't receive any notifications for any mentions or direct messages sent to me.

Sorry for the lack of explanations.
To understand where your issue comes from, we will need some log to understand what happens.
Can you change your settings to be notified for all the tweets, wait for a while and collect the logs ?

My apologies for taking so long to reply, I hope this ticket is still valid. I installed aLogcat on my Galaxy Nexus then did the following.

    1. Changed Plume settings to be notified of all Tweets. No notifications were provided.
    2. Changed Plume settings to be notified of mentions. Then I sent myself a Tweet from another account to see if Plume would respond. No notifications were provided.
    3. Send myself a second Tweet from another account to see if Plume would respond. No notifications were provided.

Also during that time, others sent me Mentions and Plume never provided a notification. I have attached a log file.

Same problem here with Motorola RAZR Retail 2.3.6 and the newest Plume release. I like Plume Premium very much, but it is useless without any notification of replies or private messages. I tweet this also since the last update to the Plumeapp account. For the moment i switched back to TweetCaster Pro, were notifications works very fine and fast. I'm full of hope, that issue will fixed for the future. The only thing in Plume i miss sooooo much...

@Michael: thanks for your log but i don't see Plume occurence in it. Launch Plume and then save your logcat.

And check also if you are using the latest version of Plume 4.0.3. You can update it on Google Play.

    Hello there,

I have installed the very latest version of Plume, version 4.51, and notifications are still not working correctly. I have even tried performing a factory reset on my device and installing the program from scratch.

This problem is becoming quite bothersome as I have paid money for the full version of this product and an important function isn't working.

Could it be the notifications aren't being sent to the right Android ID? My current Android ID starts with 2ee521

Canyou check your Update Interval in your Notification option ? Plume check not always and that can explain why you have no mention. We can try again with an Update Interval of 1 minute for example.

It is currently set to one hour. Does that mean I will only get
    notifications every hour?

I thought Plume was capable of push notification without the need for the
client to check for new mentions.

    Yes,

But you can change this from 1 minute to 4 hours in the Update Interval.

If you are using the Livestream option and have Plume open, then you'll have real time notifications.

In the end, I am looking for push notifications in the program. I want
Plume to notify me of new mentions when the application is in the
background, regardless of the time I have the Update interval set to. Plume
is advertised as having push notifications of this type, and I've never
been able to get it to work.
