1x1 weather widget problem with triple digits

There is a problem with the 1x1 weather widget in triple digit temperatures. Obviously this is only a problem when displaying Fahrenheit temperatures as triple digit temperatures aren't possible in Celsius (or else we're all doomed). The font size seems to be too large for the current temperature and thus if triple digits occur, the degree symbol gets shifted down to a second line and the bottom of it is truncated. Attached is a screenshot which demonstrates the problem.

I think the easiest fix is to shrink the font size until it fits. Unless you're using a monospace font where every digit is the same width, it might be worth testing really high temperatures like 122 or something like that. As insane as it sounds, I believe that places like Arizona USA do often hit 115-120.

I just wanted to pop in and give this problem a thumbs up, as I noticed the same thing. We're forecast for 100 degree weather today in Kansas City, and so the current display reads current temperature "8" and forecast temperature 104. The text box for the forecast (104) sits on top of the current temperature. Not a huge deal, the temp display in the status bar does still read "80" but the widget itself has an issue.

I have the same issue as the above poster and would like to know if there has been any progress on the fix. Widget shows a 9 while the temperature is 97 in the screenshot. Currently looking for another weather app since this bug has been in effect for several months now.

    Hi,

Those issues will be fixed but in the future. For now, developpers are fixing other issues and working on a brand new version of Beautiful Widgets.

    Thanks for your patience

    Regards

Wanted to chime in too. I live in the south west US and it's generally 100+ F during the day and a high of 100+ F too. The current temperature displays as one digit.

    If it's currently 103 F, it displays 3.

Even though you stated that you won't be fixed, but just in case, here is my report
